EXCLUSIVE TRAINING FRAMEWORK

THE ANCHOR SYSTEM

A proprietary dog training system built for owners who expect more than basic obedience.

The ANCHOR System is K9Elite's signature training method, designed by trainer Coty Cortez over more than 15 years of hands-on dog training experience. It combines disciplined structure, leash leadership, clear communication and emotional understanding with owner coaching, so results hold up in real life—not just in the training room.

ANCHOR stands for Accountability, Navigation, Communication, Harmony, Ownership and Relationship, and it is the foundation behind every program we run. It is not a generic protocol or a template you'll find at other facilities; it is a proprietary framework used only by K9Elite Dog Training.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Calm, fair follow‑through so rules and commands actually mean something. You learn exactly how to hold your dog accountable without chaos or conflict.

NAVIGATION

Leash leadership and handling that make real‑world situations—walks, guests, and public spaces—smooth, safe, and controlled.

COMMUNICATION

Clear verbal, non‑verbal, and marker cues so your dog always knows what is being asked and how to earn a reward.

HARMONY

Understanding and guiding emotional states—arousal, anxiety, frustration—to create a stable dog that can make better choices under pressure.

OWNERSHIP

Coaching you to lead, handle, guide, and support your dog with confidence so results last long after formal training ends.

RELATIONSHIP

Building a strong bond through structure, trust, and meaningful affection, where respect and connection work together instead of competing.

SERVING ALL OF OKC

K9Elite Dog Training is Oklahoma City’s premier provider of professional dog training and behavior solutions. Founded and operated by Coty Cortez, a Marine Corps veteran and career dog trainer, K9Elite offers customized programs for obedience, behavior rehabilitation, service dogs, therapy dogs, and personal protection dogs throughout the OKC metro area.

Over the course of Coty’s life in dogs and more than 15 years of hands-on training experience, he developed the proprietary ANCHOR System—a structured framework that blends clear accountability, leash navigation, communication, emotional harmony, owner education, and relationship-building into one cohesive approach. The ANCHOR System is the culmination of his life’s work and is used exclusively at K9Elite Dog Training, making our methodology truly unique in the dog training world.

Our science-based methods, built on operant conditioning, address a full range of canine behavioral challenges, including aggression, anxiety, fear-based behaviors, hyperactivity, and more. We focus on real-world results that hold up in homes, neighborhoods, and public spaces, not just in the training room. At K9Elite, the mission is to empower dog owners with the skills and confidence to lead their dogs effectively, keep more dogs out of shelters, and build strong, reliable partnerships between dogs and their families.

Serving all of Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas, we provide in-home evaluations, private lessons, group classes, board-and-train for special circumstances, and long-term support for our clients.
